Dr.C.Emilin Shyni was awarded her PhD in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. 

 

She is a passionate professor with 22 years of experience. She is passionate about cybersecurity and identifying vulnerabilities, analysing malware, and monitoring security events in the system. 

 

Currently, she is working at Presidency University, Bengaluru. She is exposed to writing the funding project proposal in the field of Cybersecurity. One of the funded projects is “Detecting and Preventing Phishing Websites Using Machine Learning”. The phishing websites will be detected, and it will be prevented from stealing the credentials of the users.

 

She is the CISCO-certified Instructor for the CCNA Cybersecurity Operations and the IoT Security. She has received the Google certification on IT Security: Défense Against the Digital Dart Arts.

 

She has guided various cybersecurity projects such as Denial of Service Attacks and Spam Emails for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students. She has published the patent for the Anomaly Detection in Agriculture 4.0 Data model. This model is to prevent the injection of false data and also to prevent false data coming from malfunctioning sensors.

 

She has published more than 25 papers in International journals and presented more than 50 papers at International conferences.

 

She is committed to learning emerging technology trends and has a keen interest in creating all aspects of technical content such as blogs. She has written blogs on smartsecuritytips.com. She is passionate about writing articles and books. The resulting book, Cyber Forensics was come out in 2017.
